God is Good

Matthew 6:31-32 ESV
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.

Matthew 7:11 ESV
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Matthew 11:29-30 ESV
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

This is my (our) great God who boldly declares, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." (Luke 21:33 ESV)

What then, shall I fear? Life is full of uncertainty. Promises made by humans are easily broken. Feelings rise and disappear as the ocean's wave, come and go as it wishes.

Only God is faithful and able to fulfil His promises without second chances. When God says He'll build His kingdom on earth and every name shall bow, He'll definitely see it through. When God says there is no other name than His, He knows it is the truth.

Recently I've simply been so amazed at God's faithfulness to me and it's incredibly touching to see how He works in the lives of people who sincerely seek after Him. God is good. God is really, really good.

Grace Triumphs Over Judgment!

Facing people who love to argue about philosphical / religious matter, just be gentle and listen to their point of views. Ponder how they come into their current mindset, observe their background, life experience, social standings, work life, family member's personality, parental teaching, etc.

Arguing back is simply foolish. A loving heart that's willing to listen and understand is so much better.

Church today teaches about God's all-encompassing love and grace. We are loved and forgiven no matter what we do, did, or will do. Dot.

The Cause: Right Living, Newness of Life
By Ps Indra Lim

Q: Do we support sin? Does grace-teaching support sin?

A: What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? (Romans 6:1, 2 NIV)

这样,怎么说呢?我们可以仍在罪中、叫恩典显多吗? 断乎不可!我们在罪上死了的人岂可仍在罪中活着呢? (罗马书 6:1, 2 CUNPSS-上帝)
